    a. 1/10 + 7/5 = 1/10 + (7 x 2) / (5 x 2) = 1/10 + 14/10 = 15/10 = (5 x 3) / (5 x 2) = 3/2

    b. 3/2 + 13/2 = 16/2 = (2 x 8) / (2 x 1) = 8

    c. 27/16 - 7/16 = 20/16 = (4 x 5) / (4 x 4) = 5/4

    d. 10/24 + 5/6 = 10/24 + (5 x 4) / (6 x 4) = 10/24 + 20/24 = 30/24 = (6 x 5) / (6 x 4) = 5/4
