Nowadays athletes cannot train without a doctor. They work with psychologists and nutritionists. Most athletes use drugs but the drugs they use or strictly controlled by the doctors who look after them. I once met an athlete who said to me: «a victory means a hard work all you need is luck end awful lot of training”. He was strongly opposed to the use of drugs. He used to say that the victory he had won other his competitors at the Olympics was the results of a hard work and a strong discipline. Strangely enough, he has now become a biologist and works seven days a week in a laboratory experimenting new substances for athletes.
